Korea - Day 1
My plane arrived at Incheon airport at around 5pm local time. It was a very comfortable flight as I was able to get an exit row seat and having a very pretty and personable flight attendant sitting in the jump seat directly in front of me was a nice way to pass the 10 hour flight time! ^^
Once I got out of customs, of course the traffic hit. The drive from the airport to my hotel took about 1.5 hours. After a quick check in to unload my baggage, I joined my Dad and uncle for dinner at Cho Mak Jip, a restaurant owned by my dad's 후배 (or junior). He also owned a restaurant by the same name in Hawaii located where Seoul Garden is now.
Gotta have the soju!
Seasoned 삼겹살 (pork belly or Korean bacon). Wayne's World and Phat Booty should remember this dish pretty well.
The 반찬(side dishes)
The 찌개 (stew) after the meat.
After dinner, went back to the room for some rest. The room is kind of small, but cozy and the furniture is good.
Nice big HD TV!
The big comfortable bed
Stylish bathroom
That night, met a 형 (older brother) and had some wine at a really cool wine bar in Cheongdam-dong.
