Harold as Sulu!
I'm not a Star Trek fan by any means. I think I've only watched one Star Trek movie (the one with the whales) and never ever watched any Star Trek TV episode, old, new generation, deep space nine, whatever they have.
But casting is ongoing for the new Star Trek motion picture and it sounds promising! First of all, it's being directed by JJ Abrams who's famous for Lost, Alias, and most recently Mission: Impossible 3. Then it was announced that Zachary Quinto who plays Sylar on Heroes will be Spock. That's a pretty genius move! Then Eric Bana (who's always terrific) was cast as the villain Nero. Now, it's been announced that my Korean bruddah John Cho, best known as Harold from the Harold and Kumar film (and also as the MILF guy from the American Pie movies) has been cast as Sulu. Cool! Also...Simon Pegg, a hilarious British actor (gotta check out Hot Fuzz) has been cast as Chekov.
Man, does this movie sound cool or what? I think I may have to see my 2nd Star Trek film when this is released!
