Korean World Cup Fever
Since Korea's successful 2002 World Cup run where they finished in the Top 4, the country has been eagerly awaiting this year's contest. There have been many, many events in anticipation of the World Cup with public concerts and TV World Cup specials everywhere.For the first game against Togo yesterday, about 72% of the country's population was watching the game on TV while another 2.2 million were watching the game at outdoor venues throughout the country.
About 300,000 people were watching the game at Seoul Plaza in front of City Hall.World Cup Fever is definitely at a high and after the first victory against Togo, it's certainly going to get even stronger. Celebrities have been amongst the most visible of supporters as seen here.

Shim Eun Jin, wow...trying to top Mina from the last World Cup eh? I saw a video of that performance, she was singing with Baek Ji Young and Kil Gun. Unfortunately they were not dressed like Eun Jin, but they were still looking good.
