More Asians than Whites at UC Schools
Wow, this is surprising and at the same time, it was just a matter of time. The article below states that this will be the first year where Asians outnumber all the other races, including whites in the incoming class.
I think when I was going to school at UC-Berkeley, there were about 35% whites and about 30% Asians. Well, a lot of the Asians were white on the inside, but that's another story.
If you think about it, this is pretty amazing considering Asians make up about only 12% of California's population.

At Irvine, I thought there were more Asians collectively than other ethnicities. Maybe Irvine led the Asian invasion for some time before the entire UC system caught up?
Then again all the Asians nationalities are lumped into "Asian" so there's a lot. I'm assuming Indian (not native American Indians) are counted as Asian.
Only 3.4% African Americans? Must be all on the UCLA basketball team. Only kidding?
When I was at UCLA, the LA Times did a story about all the Asians and took a picture of our class and printed it. So I was in the LA Times. Haha. I have it clipped out somewhere.
Wow, we got a bunch of UC school grads here! Cool!
