Yau Man....Still a Class Act

So the Yau Man didn't win the million on Survivor due to Dreamz going back on his word. So some people took it upon themselves to create a website to raise money to buy Yau Man a truck to replace the one he gave away to Dreamz. The website is truckforyau.com.

But when Yau heard about the website, he emailed the site creator a letter saying that he is grateful for the thought but he is quite comfortable in his current economic situation and that the funds the site raises should go to charity. What a class act!

Here is the rest of the content of the letter:

"... as for the donation, I think it would a greater good for you to use the money make a contribution to charity. While the million-dollar win would have certainly changed my life, I am quite comfortable in my present economic condition. I do thank your for your generosity and kindness.

As for Dreams, I think Shakespeare said it best in "Julius Caesar" Act 3, Scene 2 with Mark Anthony's soliloquy: Friends, Romans .... Etc, " The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones.? Dreamz will have to live this decision down for the rest of his life. I wish him no ill will and for his sake hope that he can do enough good to make amends for this "slight" moral infraction committed in front of 20 million people.

As for me, yes, I did sign up for this show to win a Million Dollars - for what other reasons would I want to go through so much pain and suffering? Yes, it a game. Yes, I want that million as much as any other contestants. But yet, it is very important to me to be able to face my teenage daughters when I come home, with or without the million, and be able to look them in the eyes and say to them without hesitation or reservations, "When you watch the show, you will be proud of your dad; you will not be embarrassed to ask your friends and schoolmates to watch each and every episode with you." In playing a game where there are no rules - a game which involve living in a situation without moral codes, how I think my daughters will see me became my moral compass."

My two charities are the American Lung Cancer Association - my mother is suffering from lung cancer and has just gone through radiation therapy. She was able to travel with me to the Reunion Show last Sunday. The other is the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association which promotes the sport of table tennis at the Collegiate level."

Yauman is definitely a class act. I don't think he had a chance either way unless he won that last immunity challenge. I understand it's a game for a million dollars and everyone lies and cheats but what Dreamz did was different. He promised that he would give the idol to Yau in front of everyone. Not only that, when he got the truck, he had no intentions of going back on his word. If he said that he was playing Yau right there at that moment after getting the truck, I would have no problem with him not giving Yau the idol. He was trying to make like he was strategizing the whole time but I doubt that was the case.

I don't see how he even thought he had a chance to win anyways. Backstabbing the most popular guy on the island isn't going to get you votes. He would have gained so much more respect if he honored his deal. The winner was going to be either Yau or Earl. Cassandra or Dreamz had no chance.

Congrats to Yau on playing the best game he could and making it one of the most interesting Survivor shows I've watched!

Yeah, Dreamz tried to play it off like he had planned to backstab Yau when he made that deal but that's BS.

And I don't know what the hell he was thinking. Like you say, he was delusional if he thought he had a chance at the million after doing what he did. And all that talk about facing his son...whatever. Don't be saying that kind of stuff if you don't mean it.
