Cal-Hawaii Connection

Nice article in the Contra Costa Times about how 3 players for the Cal football team from Hawaii are adjusting to living in California. They're trying to adapt to the driving styles and they miss cake noodles, meat jun, and Mitsuken's garlic chicken.

Nice read!

By the way....Cal is playing UCLA this weekend. Looking forward to a nice game with Tabasco Man's alma mater.

GO BEARS!

Having been away myself I can sympathize with them missing home but come on...the Bay Area has quite a few Hawaii people and places to eat Asian/Pacific food. It's not like they're in a bumf**k town in the Midwest or something with a totally alien culture. So you miss cake noodle? Ever heard of Chinatown in San Francisco? Catch a bus or something! Where do they have these guys sequestered?

I predict Cal will win but not cover the spread. "for amusement only"

UCLA is not looking good. They played well defensively against Notre Dame, but have looked very shaky on offense. Nate Longshore should have a big game against the weak secondary of UCLA. The only chance is if Justin Hickman and the rest of the D-line can put tremendous pressure on Longshore to cause some turnovers. UCLA's defense and special teams need to score at least two TDs for this game to be close. The offense cannot move the ball.
