Rain in Hawaii

No, it's not a weather forecast. Apparently Rain (aka Bi - Korean for "rain") will be having a concert in Hawaii on July 3, 2007. He was recently named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People. Ticket prices are said to be between $80 - $250.

Meh. This news did not really interest me cuz I'm not a fan of his music so I don't think I'll be going to the concert unless I score free tix and even then, I don't see myself going unless it was on a date and the girl really wanted to go. Just not interested in this guy whatsoever. I actually enjoy his dramas more than his music. But it will be interesting to see what kind of crowd shows up. Aloha Stadium? That's pretty ambitious. We'll see.

Rain. That. Is. My. Asian. Pop. Hero. Right. Now. (SS501 and Super Junior -- now, those are my pop heroes right now, heh heh heh heh).

I, too, would probably not go alone. Heck, just rent the concert DVD if tha's the case. 'Cept in my case, I will be going with not "girl" but girls. Sho' I'm right. Church.

And look at the prices. Looks like they're expectin' it to be huge. Looks like the promoter's expectin' folks for Nihon (where Bi is quite popular, best believe), best believe, as well as other parts of Asia; and, let's not mention the whole thing happenin' at Aloha Stadium. Yes, Japan's answer to the Beach Boys, Tube, may very well claim the title of the most recent Asian group to play there in these past years, but, for Bi? Not bad for a solo artist from Asia at a venue required to host mega famous solo acts from Jacko to Sinatra.

Won't be up close in the $250 seats; think I talk the gals outta that. Maybe midway, where Bi's own flinging rain from gyrations won't touch me.

Hope we can tailgate!

Well he did perform in Madison Square so maybe? Waikiki Shell would have been an insult to his managers. I agree with the man, most of the concert goers will probably be from Japan and Pearl City. kidding!!
And I also think the median age will be 40+. What do you think? I told 이모 in SF that people her age are watching Inki Gayo and Music Bank and she said 이상하다.

How old is your aunt? I'm 33 and watch Inki Gayo every week...am I weird too? Hmm....am I going through a mid-life crisis already? Actually, if I don't plan on living past 60, I can have my mid-life crisis now, right? =)

And LOL at the Pearl City joke! ^_^

She's 53. I told her because there's a lady down the street that listens to her iPod while walking up and down the hill and whenever she sees me she flags me down to ask me what something means or do romanization so she can sing along.

I told her wow you're very hip how old are you? Had to throw the compliment before the rude question and she told me over 50.
She was listening to FTTS and thought Brian was so cute. When I'm that age I promise to be listening to Frank Sinatra or Earth Wind and Fire. I don't even like to go to a dentist if he's younger or same age as me lol.

haha you really think you won't live past 60? I want to live until 90 but just going to take out all the mirrors in the house and take a shower with lights off.
